The weather in Akumal is tropical, very warm with seasonal showers. The wet season runs from June through November with the rest of the year usually quite dry, sometimes with some light showers in the afternoon. Hurricane season (June through November) can bring strong storms, though it is rare that a hurricane reaches the Akumal shores. Temperatures during the day are in the 80s and low 90s, at night it cools down to the 60s and 70s.
